It’s always special to be a part of a wedding day, but even more so when you have a little history with the Bride and Groom! Granted, Jason and I didn’t meet until the morning of their wedding day, but Justina and I got our start a few years back when we worked together! There’s […]
After months of planning, everything came together perfectly for Casey & Shane’s Eastern Shore wedding at Kent Manor Inn. Pops of corals and pinks from the flowers in Casey’s bouquet to the delicate details of their wedding cake hinted at the last, lingering days of summer, while the sun streamed through the trees, gently coating […]
Spending the evening shooting Sam & Billy’s engagement session was the perfect way to end the weekend. We walked all around the property they live on in Centreville, soaking up the evening sun and enjoying having it all to ourselves (minus the 5 or so deer we jumped, and while we’re at it the birds, […]
A cloudy day turned into a pretty pastel sky while the water moved calmly below the little 1960’s hand built sailboat. Maddy and Will met a couple years prior during a night out in downtown Annapolis. The two instantly connected, chatting for the rest of the night and soon after officially become a couple. After […]
Waking up at sunrise isn’t the first thing on my mind (it never is at all), but when it comes to shooting an engagement session at a popular D.C. spot like Meridian Hill Park, it isn’t even a question! Even though the sun decided not to come out, it was still worth waking up early […]
Remember the high school dances that everyone went to, whether it was just with a group of friends or with a date? Well, that’s how it all started for Leah and Casey, who met nine years ago at the homecoming dance and instantly hit it off. They would start dating a year afterwards, becoming an […]
It’s always special to be a part of a wedding day, but even more so when you have a little history with the Bride and Groom! Granted, Jason and I didn’t meet until the morning of their wedding day, but Justina and I got our start a few years back when we worked together! There’s something about her personality that clicked with mine – she is the type that is so easy to talk to yet can surprise you with some entertaining sass at any moment (if you’re on the same page here, we are probably going to get a long well)! From what I remember those years ago, we talked about almost everything during those retail hours, from relationships to work to goals we had for ourselves. I couldn’t get over that she had been in a relationship with Justin for almost a decade at the time! That was something I wanted, and I looked up to her for, knowing that type of love was out there.
Needless to say, I was so thrilled when she messaged me and told me she wanted me to be her wedding photographer (and even more excited to know that Justin had finally proposed)! We got to planning her timeline, ironing out all the details and visions of how to make their day that much more amazing.
And now they’re finally married! What an amazing day, from getting ready tears to a sparkling exit into the night. To think there are so many more amazing memories to come! Cheers to these two!
