Engaged on the Chesapeake

A cloudy day turned into a pretty pastel sky while the water moved calmly below the little 1960’s hand built sailboat. Maddy and Will met a couple years prior during a night out in downtown Annapolis. The two instantly connected, chatting for the rest of the night and soon after officially become a couple. After about a year of dating, Will took Maddy back to the same spot they met and popped the question!

The Chesapeake Bay plays a huge part in Maryland way of life and that is no exception for Maddy and Will. Having grown up by the water, they knew having their engagement session incorporated with the shores of the Bay was important to them. After telling me about a little vintage sailboat that Will was working on restoring, I knew we had to incorporate sailing into their session to make some lasting memories. After some searching around, we found the perfect (also vintage!) little boat to take out for the evening!

Maddy and Will tie the knot next June on the Chesapeake Bay, this time surrounded by all of their friends and family. I can’t wait to capture these memories again for them so so soon!
