Sunrise at Meridian Hill Park

Waking up at sunrise isn’t the first thing on my mind (it never is at all), but when it comes to shooting an engagement session at a popular D.C. spot like Meridian Hill Park, it isn’t even a question! Even though the sun decided not to come out, it was still worth waking up early to have the grounds mostly to ourselves. Jessica told me about how she really wanted to included some architectural elements in her and Brian’s engagement session, which naturally I agreed was absolutely a good idea. What better place within an hour from our homes here on the Eastern Shore?

Funny enough, Jessica and Brian went to the same high school together (along with me!) and even grew up in the same neighborhood as each other but didn’t connect until a few years after graduating from school. They are just one of those couples you can look at and feel their connection and it makes me so happy to know they found each other (even though they never had to look too far)!
