I was thrilled when Sophie reached out to me to photograph her wedding this year. I mean, who doesn’t hope to work with people they know and love?! Sophie and Nate got married on their 7th anniversary, right on the day. Initially, they had a wedding planned for a larger party on the Eastern Shore, but after some thought, they decided to have an intimate morning ceremony at the Loews in downtown Annapolis and jet off to Jamaica the next day (I mean, clearly this was the better option)!

I love being a part of the planning process with my brides, and when Sophie told me she was changing her wedding day around, we got together over breakfast to get organized, which turned into venue tours downtown and just an all around fun afternoon! Their wedding day was no exception and really was a perfect day. They opted for a farewell brunch with mimosas instead of a dinner (um, yes?!) and even did a lavender toss send off. After it all, we drove closer into town and did their just married portraits right in state circle.

I’m always so honored to be a part of these most amazing, special days, but even more so when you get to watch someone you’ve known for years walk down the aisle and be the one to capture all of those memories for them. I’m so freaking happy for you both and know you two are going to have one heck of a life together!
